Counting visits without a cookie
We count page views with software we run on our own servers. It is not in the table above and it is not in the choices above, and both of those are for the same reason: it stores nothing in your browser and reads nothing out of it. There is no cookie to list, and no access to your device to ask permission for.
What it records is the page, where you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address. We rely on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR rather than on your consent, which is why there is no checkbox for it. If you would rather not be counted, set "Do Not Track" in your browser and the counter will not run: we honour that signal, and it needs no setting on our side and no cookie to remember it.
