Scoping. Functionality defined in writing before anything is procured, with the test procedure that will be used to sign it off written at the same time. Who, what, when, where and how.
System design. Topology, redundancy, control and monitoring, specified against named standards rather than a single vendor's product line.
Integration and commissioning. Bringing the parts together on site, including the interfaces between vendors that nobody scoped.
Acceptance testing. Extended test procedures and corner cases, run against the scope, signed off before handover.
Documentation. As-built, in a form the people who operate it can use without calling us.
Support. SLA based, 24/7, with optional services. A project does not end at handover.
